A police officer faces child pornography charges after allegedly viewing the material in a police station's evidence room.
The veteran Adams police officer Alan Vigiard, was arrested after state police determined that he was logged into the computer at the same time the material was viewed.
The 45-year-old was one of four officers who had access to the evidence room.
Vigiard has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
He has been placed on administrative leave.
