ALBANY N.Y. - A fire broke out Wednesday morning affecting two buildings; the fire began at 484 Clinton Avenue in the rear of a convenience store.

Fire crews got the call around 2:30 this morning reporting heavy smoke and fire.

The fire chief tells NEWS10 ABC that the fire extended to a neighboring building. Both buildings suffered heavy fire and water damage.

The chief said it was a very difficult fire to put out and there may be a third home affected. Fortunately no one was injured.

Fire crews remain on scene, continuing to check walls and ceilings for hot spots.

The cause of this fire has not yet been determined.

A portion of Clinton Avenue remains closed as fire crews remain on scene.
