STILLWATER, N.Y. --New York State Police arrested 23-year-old Daniel Negron after he entered into the Stewart's Shop on State Route 9P before business hours and proceeded to fall asleep in an employee’s vehicle in the parking lot.
Just after 4:00 Sunday morning, Negron gained entry into the Stewart's Shop alongside paper men making their morning delivery. The men advised the employee that Negron was not with them and she immediately told Negron to leave the store, pushed him out and locked the door behind him.
The employee told police that Negron then became agitated and began pulling and prying on the door as the employee called 9-1-1. Negron proceeded to enter the passenger side of the employee's vehicle and wave to her from inside.
When State Police arrived, they found that Negron was intoxicated and sleeping inside her vehicle. He told police that a taxi cab had dropped him off at the Stewart's Shop after a night out.
Negron was arrested for Criminal Trespass in the Third Degree and was taken to the State Police barracks in Saratoga, where he was processed and released to a third party. He is set to appear in Stillwater Court at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26.
