Police: Troy officer stabbed in the leg
UPDATE: Troy Police are still on the lookout for two men who allegedly stabbed one of their officers.
The incident happened around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday near the Martin Luther King apartments when Officer Michael Johnson, who was patrolling alone in a marked vehicle, spotted two black males and radioed to his dispatchers saying he was starting an investigation.
From there, the investigation turned into a pursuit and at one point, Officer Johnson was stabbed in the leg.
He was carried from the scene by fellow officers, and taken to Samaritan Hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The only description of the suspects is they are two black males that may have been wearing masks or similar headgear.

UPDATE: Troy Police say Officer Michael Johnson is being treated at an area hospital for a stab wound to the leg.
Troy Police say, so far, it appears Officer Johnson had approached a group of suspects to conduct an investigation in the area of Sunnyside Street and House Ave when the altercation took place.
We are told Officer Johnson's injuries are said to non-life threatening.State, county and city police are currently assisting in the investigation, and are helping to search the area for suspects.

Police there are investigating an incident involving one of its own officers.
According to Troy Police Captain John Cooney, the officer was ‘attacked,’ and a search is in progress.
It appears the altercation took place near the corner of Sunnyside Street and House Ave. in the city.
Reporter Torie Wells is on the scene right now, along with another crew from FOX23 News.
Wells says she sees a state police helicopter overhead right now using a high powered light to canvass the area.
