Colonie Police Spokesman Lt. Robert Winn says that Douglas and Sheryl Lindsey of Colonie are charged with endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor, after they allegedly left their 15 and 19-month-old children in the car outside a bar.

Colonie police say it happened on April 12. They were called to Tommy's Place, after a repairman working on the bar allegedly heard babies crying in a car.

When police showed up, they say they found the two babies in a car outside. And police say the children's parents, Douglas and Sheryl Lindsey were drunk.

Police say the children were given to a sober relative and that the Lindsey's are due back in court next week.

FOX23 News did reach out to Tommy's Place but the bartender there said the bar has no comment.

FOX23 News also tried to reach out to the Lindsey's but no one answered the door at the home.
