Poll: Half of Upstate residents agree with Common Core

LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. -  A new Siena poll was released on Sunday morning and it focused on education in Upstate New York.

The main point in the Times Union/Siena Poll is that the jury seems to be out on Common Core. According to the numbers, 50-percent of residents agree that in the long run, the new learning standards will increase student success. However, 44-percent are not convinced.

A majority of the poll also say they think the roll-out was rushed and needs a timeout to re-evaluate the system.
