Power restored after sporadic outages in Albany and Greene County

ALBANY, N.Y. –Power has restored after Monday evenings sporadic outages that hit parts of Albany County and Greene County.

Power outages hit southern Albany County as well as most of Greene County. National Grid and Central Hudson customers were affected by the outage.

Central Hudson restored power as of 1 a.m. Tuesday morning.

The outage is still under investigation, but officials believe it may have been caused by a down wire phase.

According to a Central Hudson Gas and Electric representative as many as 16,000 customers in Albany and Greene County were affected by the outage.
