TROY N.Y. – A second AR- 15 will be raffled off by Reverend John Koletas of Grace Baptist Church in Troy Monday night.
The Smith and Wesson rifle up for grabs has been legally modified and complies with the SAFE Act.
During last night's service a man from Schenectady won the first gun raffle, a background check will be completed before he is able to receive the gun.
Reverend Koletas says this is his way of supporting gun owners in his congregation.
Assemblyman John McLaughlin was a guest speaker at last night's sermon. The giveaway has been so controversial that both the politician and reverend have received death threats.
Regardless of the threats the reverend still intends on giving away another AR-17 Monday at 7p.m.
