SARATOGA SPRINGS N.Y. – College Day is being held Friday at the Saratoga Race Course.

This is the sixth consecutive year the New York Racing Association is hosting this event for college students.

All who are attending the track today are encouraged to wear your alma mater's school colors, or the colors of your favorite college team's gear for a chance to win prizes.

The first 1,000 students to come through the gates will receive free gear.

Officials are putting on a social media competition with a selfie contest. All participants need to do is use hashtag College Day, and they will have an opportunity to win a picnic lunch for twenty people at the track.

NYRA will also be recognizing the Union College Dutchmen for winning the 20-14 NCAA Division I championship.

College Day is to kick off at the Saratoga Race course at 11 a.m. Friday morning.
