PITTSFIELD, Mass., - The second occupant of the vehicle which crashed into the Pittsfield High School on Tuesday has died.
The Pittsfield Police Department said they are still investigating the accident, which killed two men.
Shortly before 3 p.m. on Tuesday, a vehicle crashed into the front of Pittsfield High School on 300 East Street. Police said the car was speeding towards the school, jumped a curb, hit a tree and slammed into the concrete wall.
A number of witnesses told police that the car was being operated in an erratic way, prior to the accident.
One man was pronounced dead at the scene as authorities arrived. Another was taken to Berkshire Medical Center, where police say he died around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The occupants have been identified as Ernest Duck Jr., 37, and Tariq Salley, 34.
According to police, all possible causes of the crash, including medical or mechanical, are being explored as the investigation into the crash continues.
