ALBANY, N.Y. – Some college students are finishing their winter break by volunteering in the Nation’s capital.

On Saturday, 15 students and five advisors from The College of Saint Rose will head to Washington D.C. to spend one week helping thousands of the city’s homeless, working poor, and homebound.

The students will help to prepare and serve more than 1,000 meals per day. They will also volunteer in programs to help those in Washington D.C. who are homeless, impoverished, or living with HIV/AIDS and other illnesses.
