ALBANY, N.Y. – The Joe Bruno trial is set to enter day three on Wednesday.

The first witnesses were called to testify on Tuesday during the former senate majority leader’s second fraud trial.

Bruno is accused of accepting thousands of dollars in bribes disguised as payments for his consulting services.

Prosecutors focused on his secretary, Patricia Stackrow, who often cashed many of those checks. During cross examination, the defense said Bruno was not trying to hide anything in his financial disclosure forms.

The trial will resume at 10 a.m.
