Trooper saves woman's life with CPR

GREENPORT, N.Y. – State Police are crediting quick thinking and CPR for saving a woman's life.

According to State Police in Livingston, on Friday shortly before 7 p.m., Troopers responded to a report of a 20 year old female not breathing. As Troopers arrived to the scene, they found an unconscious woman on the ground near the front door of the home.

A Trooper assessed the victim and determined that she was not breathing. The Trooper began CPR and attached an AED, Automated External Defibrillator).

State Police say the victim regained consciousness and was taken to Columbia Memorial Hospital.

She is expected to make a full recovery.
