Two SUNY Oswego students hospitalized for overdose, one dead

OSWEGO, N.Y. – A college student died from a heroin overdose, according to police.

Oswego City Police and University Police at SUNY Oswego announced on Sunday that they are investigating three suspected heroin overdoses. Two of the overdoses were in the city. The third was on the SUNY campus.

All three victims are students are the university. The victim that was found on campus property has died.

The Shenendahowa School District confirmed the student who died this weekend was a 2009 graduate of the school. Another 2009 Shen grad and current Oswego student died of an overdose earlier this month.

A SUNY Oswego spokesperson said the heroin used by all three students was from the same supplier. Police expect an arrest soon.

City and Campus Police are working together to determine the circumstances around these incidents.
