ALBANY, N.Y. – Two men approached a 12-year-old girl Tuesday while she was walking home from school.

The incident took place around 3:20 p.m. Tuesday on Northern Boulevard. The victim said she was walking home from North Albany Academy on North Pearl Street when a black BMW occupied by two males pulled up alongside her on Northern Boulevard and asked her to get into the car.

The victim refused to get into the car and ran away to get help.

The suspects are described as black males, approximately 30-to-40-years-old with dreadlocks and beards.

The incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the Albany Police Detective Division at (518) 462-8039.

The Albany Police Department and the City School District of Albany reminds everyone to never walk alone, don’t talk to strangers, come to school on time, walk against traffic and tell someone immediately if something happens to you.
