ALBANY, N.Y. – The existing vehicle ban in New York State was updated early Friday morning by Governor Andrew Cuomo.
The vehicle ban on the New York State Thruway, or I-87, between Exit 24 in Albany and the New York City border has been lifted as of 5 a.m.
The commercial vehicle ban remains in effect until 8 a.m.
The ban on commercial and passenger vehicles on I-84 between the Pennsylvania and Connecticut borders has been extended until 8 a.m. The ban has also been extended until 8 a.m. for commercial and passenger vehicles on the Long Island Expressway in Nassau and Suffolk Counties.
All roads will be open to all traffic at 8 a.m.
