FORT PLAIN, N.Y. – Saturday is the 1st Community Rebuilding Day in Fulton and Montgomery Counties.
The Fulton and Montgomery County Long Term Recovery Committee (FMLTRC) are expected over 100 volunteers to work on several projects in the area.
Beginning at 830AM, volunteers will be paired up with project managers at Haslett Park to work on one of nine different projects.
This effort is to help residents who have been affected by flood waters in their homes and businesses. According to FMLTRC there will be muck outs, demolition, mold remediation, sheet rocking and plumbing.
There will be refreshments in the morning provided by Freihofers and a free community meal for lunch.
