EPHRATAH, N.Y. (AP) - A 29-year-old man has been charged with second-degree murder after his mother's body was found in her Fulton County home.
District Attorney Louise Sira says James Dibble is accused of killing his mother, 57-year-old Gwenda Lisman, who was found dead with a single gunshot wound to the head Monday in her home on Mud Road in Ephratah.
Dibble was arraigned Tuesday before Fulton County Judge Richard Giardino and sent to the county jail without bail.
Sheriff Thomas Lorey says investigators believe Dibble and his mother had been arguing over money in recent days, and Lisman's house was in disarray when a neighbor called police there on Monday. He says weapons were in the house, but he wouldn't say what was used to kill Lisman.
