BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) — Authorities said nearly a dozen people have been taken to hospitals after a bus crashed into a Wells Fargo bank building in downtown Birmingham, Alabama on Tuesday.

Birmingham police spokesman Lt. Sean Edwards said Tuesday that none of the injuries are believed to be life-threatening.

Al.com reports that most of the passengers were able to walk off the bus after the crash, which happened shortly before 9 a.m. local time Tuesday.

Police say the bus, carrying 10 passengers, collided with a black SUV. Police said the impact of that wreck slammed the bus into the small Wells Fargo branch on the corner of the intersection.
