Albany, N.Y. - A debate is brewing in New York’s Capitol over new legislation from Governor Cuomo regarding late-term abortions.
As part of the soon-to-be public bill, Cuomo is looking to secure the right for women to have late-term abortions when their health is in danger or if the fetus is not viable.
Abortion rights activists welcome it as a step forward for women's rights. Opponents say it could be used as a loophole to allow unchecked late-term abortions.
