Washington - CIA Director Nominee John Brennan has not been confirmed, yet, mostly because of Tea Party member Senator Rand Paul (R).

Paul held up the nomination by filibustering on the Senate floor for 13 straight hours into the early hours Thursday morning.

According to Paul, “Here's a guy who the president promotes as being transparent and wanting to give a lot of information to the American people… [yet] he won't respond to a U.S. Senator.”

The senator was referring to Brennan's oversight of the U.S. Drone Program and lack of information on whether the government could use drones on U.S. citizens on U.S. soil. That information has not yet been made public.
