Washington - President Obama and several top Republican leaders sat down to dinner in Washington Wednesday.
The dinner came just hours after house Republicans passed their plan to prevent a government shutdown in the coming weeks.
The president has been working to restart budget talks.
Senator John McCain signaled thumbs-up to reporters after dinner.
