Albany, N.Y. (AP) – State officials are urging New York residents to prepare for hurricane season, which runs June through November.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo noted New Yorkers are continuing to recover from Superstorm Sandy, Hurricane Irene and Tropical Storm Lee.
His office is asking residents to develop household disaster plans.
Officials said people should have an emergency phone list and enough non-perishable food and water to last about 10 days.
