(CNN) - Neil Diamond announced he'll donate royalties from his song "Sweet Caroline" to help victims of the Boston Marathon bombings.
The money will go to the "One Fund Boston," which had raised more than $23-million for bombing victims as of Wednesday.
Sweet Caroline has been played at every home Boston Red Sox game for more than a decade.
According to Nielsen Soundscan, the song was downloaded more than 19,000 times this week, putting sales up nearly 600 percent.
Diamond recorded the song in 1969 in honor of Caroline Kennedy, the daughter of the late president John F. Kennedy.
He told Rolling Stone earlier this week that he's recording a new song about the bombings and other tragedies.
