Albany, N.Y. - The New York State Assembly voted Wednesday to wait until 2015 to make a decision on allowing hydrofracking.

A similar bill was introduced in the state Senate Wednesday.

Environmentalists are concerned that the process to extract natural gas could threaten the public's health.

Others say fracking would provide a much needed boost to the state's economy.
