(AP) - Scientists say that for the first time, imaging tests show that fructose can trigger brain changes that may lead to overeating.

A Yale University endocrinologist says MRIs show that after drinking a sugary beverage using fructose, the brain doesn't register the feeling of being full as it does when simple sugars are consumed.

Researchers say their study is small and doesn't offer proof, but adds evidence that fructose may play a role in overeating.
