SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The Sixth Annual Tech Valley Charity Golf Tournament took place in Saratoga Springs Wednesday.
The annual event benefits the Make-A-Wish Foundation and several other charities in the area. The 2013 tournament helped raise nearly $160,000 to help make the wishes come true of several Capital Region children, including one who got to see NBA forward LeBron James play in person.
“One of our employees had a son that was granted a wish several years ago, so when we were looking for a group to support and a cause to attach ourselves to and align with, Make-A-Wish was a natural cause for us,” President and CEO of the M+W Group Rick Whitney said.
Over 300 golfers were part of the tournament.
