BROADALBIN, N.Y. – The Broadalbin-Perth High School football team is getting ready for the upcoming season.
A team that saw its season end in the Class B sectional finals is returning with a good group of seniors, including the starting quarterback. The Patriots feel they have what it takes to de-throne Schalmont this year. Their biggest weapon is motivation.
“It helps us know what our goal is, like, we want to win t now,” senior Biagio Bucciferro said. “We lost. Who cares? We want to go out and win it. Last year’s last year, so we’re ready.”
“We put in the work. We deserve it, and we want to finish what we didn’t do last year,” senior Rick Wallace said. “We know what it feels like to lose, and it hurts, so we want to know what it feels like to win now.”
The Patriots play Cohoes in Week One – a team they eliminated in the sectional semifinals last year.
