LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. – A couple of former Siena College stars were back at the ARC Monday to prepare for the upcoming professional season.

Former teammates Edwin Ubiles and Ronald Moore are heading to Europe for the upcoming season. Moore will play in Italy, and Ubiles will play in Israel. Both would ultimately like to play at the NBA level, and Ubiles already has.

But Ubiles did not see a single minute of playing time in the NBA summer league, so he’s focused on getting better in Europe. His priorities are a better shooting percentage and offensive consistency.

“You know, just staying active, playing with a lot of energy, staying positive, playing hard and leaving it out on the floor at all times,” he said. “I think the NBA will take consideration in all of that in order to play in the big leagues with those guys.”

“Just doing what I do best. Just leading the team, winning games, and being a true point guard,” Moore said. “Doing it at this level in the Italian league would be huge for me, so I’d like to have another great season and hopefully fight for a championship.”

Both Moore and Ubiles will be in Europe by the end of August.
