High School Baseball & Softball Regional Finals

In today’s baseball regional final action, Queensbury held on to beat Cortland 6-5 in Class A.  Charlie Petlz gave up his first homerun of the season in the 6th, but buckled down afterwards to get the win.

In Class B, Schalmont took the early 1-0 lead in the 2nd with a solo homerun by Andre Cote. However, Ogdensburg Free Academy pitcher Breton LaRose struck out 23 Sabres batters in the game. This game went to extras and the Blue Devils outlast the Sabres in 9 winning it 3-1.

In Class C, Voorheesville took down Ticonderoga 10-3. 

In Class D, Fort Ann exploded for 20 runs in a shutout win over Heuvleton.

Moving to softball, Guilderland fell to Cicero-North Syracuse 6-0 this Tuesday afternoon.

Fort Ann shutout Point Crow 2-0 to advance to the state final 4 in Class D.
