BRIDGEPORT, Conn.— The Union College hockey team defeated Vermont in the regional semifinal game Friday.
The Dutchmen beat Vermont 5 to 2 in the NCAA game.
The story inside the game was special teams. Union started the scoring with a short-handed goal and then added two power play goals en route to their victory.
The number one ranked team is trying to make their second appearance in the Frozen Four.
Union will play the winner of the Providence vs. Quinnipiac game.
