Phoenix, AZ (Sports Network) - The Arizona Diamondbacks announced Friday that pitcher Daniel Hudson suffered another tear of the ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow.

The new injury was suffered on June 4 in a start with Double-A Mobile, his first of the year.

Hudson tore the same UCL last June, and it was serious enough to end his season after going 3-2 with a 7.35 ERA in 45 1/3 innings over just nine starts.

Diamondbacks medical staff is currently exploring all medical options.

Hudson, a former fifth-round pick of the Chicago White Sox in 2008, has pitched to a 28-17 record and 3.68 ERA in 62 appearances (58 starts) for the ChiSox (2009-10) and D-Backs (2010-present). His best season in the majors was a 16-win campaign for Arizona two years ago.
