Detroit, MI ( - The Detroit Tigers and utilityman Don Kelly have agreed to terms on a one-year contract, the team announced Monday.

The Detroit News reported that Kelly, who was eligible for salary arbitration, will earn $1 million for the upcoming season.

Kelly batted .222 with six home runs and 23 RBI over 112 games last season, his fifth in Detroit. The versatile veteran started games at all three outfield positions as well as third base, first base and second base.

During his time with the Tigers, Kelly owns a .232 average with 23 homers over 450 games.

Kelly is the second arbitration-eligible player the Tigers have signed to a contract for next season, joining reliever Phil Coke. Among the team's seven other potential arbitration cases is 2013 American League Cy Young Award recipient Max Scherzer.
