Recap: Atlanta vs. Cleveland

Atlanta, GA (SportsNetwork.com) - Al Horford poured in 22 points to go with nine rebounds to lead the Atlanta Hawks to a 108-89 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday.

Paul Millsap added 16 points and 14 rebounds while Jeff Teague and Lou Williams finished with 13 points apiece for the Hawks, winners in two straight.

Atlanta's Kyle Korver, who finished with 10 points, set an NBA record with at least one 3-pointer made in 90 straight games.

"Hopefully I keep it going. It has never been like a streak. It is about making the shots that you get. I don't want to be a high volume shooter. I try to be efficient. I get a shot and just try to make it," said Korver. "I didn't even know this record existed until midway through the year last year when people started to talk about it. It is cool, but was never my focus."

Dion Waiters scored a season-high 30 points and Andrew Bynum added 20 points and 13 rebounds for the Cavaliers, losers in six of their last eight.

Cleveland star point guard Kyrie Irving was held scoreless after going 0-for-9 from the field and 0-for-3 from the foul line. It was the first time Irving has been held without a point in his career.

Atlanta jumped out to a 37-20 lead after the first quarter. DeMarre Carroll buried a jumper just 1:11 into the game that ignited a 19-9 burst to put the Hawks up 21-11 with 4 1/2 minutes left. Jarrett Jack's free throws with 1:47 remaining cut the deficit to single digits, but Atlanta closed the frame with a 10-2 run.

The Hawks' cushion swelled to 22 points several times in the second and Atlanta led 63-43 at the break.

A Teague trey five minutes into the third made it 77-48, but the Cavs closed the frame on a 16-5 swing to make it 82-64 entering the final frame.

"I felt like as a group, besides when we had the unit out there with (Matthew) Dellavedova and Jack, we just didn't play hard. That group played hard an got us back into the game. We tried to roll with them, but we ended up getting beat."

Cleveland couldn't get closer than 14 the rest of the way.

Game Notes

The Hawks shot 51.6 percent from the field ... Waiters' career-high is 33 points.
