Recap: Phoenix vs. Golden State
Phoenix, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) - Isaiah Thomas scored 22 points and dished out seven assists as the Phoenix Suns used a huge fourth quarter to beat the previously unbeaten Golden State Warriors, 107-95, on Sunday.
Gerald Green and Goran Dragic each had 19 points for the Suns, who outscored Golden State by a 36-16 margin in the final stanza. Marcus Morris added 17 points and nine rebounds.
Stephen Curry ended with 28 points and 10 assists for the Warriors (5-1), who played without guard Klay Thompson due to a sprained right hand. Draymond Green tallied 22 points, nine boards and four blocks.
"We turned the ball over in the first half, but eventually they catch up to you," said Green. "Obviously I'm one of the main culprits, I had five myself. So we just really got to cut down on turnovers and once we do that we'll be fine."
Trailing 79-67, Thomas scored the final four points of the third quarter to get Phoenix within eight.
Down 80-75, Green scored eight straight points for the Suns to give them an 83-82 lead. Green made a pair of 3-pointers later in the fourth, with the second one making it 95-88 with 4:46 to play.
Thomas scored seven points down the stretch to seal the come-from-behind victory.
"I was just making plays," said Thomas. "I was trying to be aggressive and I would get in the lane and just make a play. Guys were open and they knocked down shots. It started at the defensive end though, we got stops and got out running."
The Warriors led by as many as 13 in the second quarter and took a 58-47 lead into the locker room.
Trailing 62-49, the Suns scored 10 straight points to get within three. But Green made a jumper and Leandro Barbosa connected from beyond the arc to give Golden State a 67-59 edge.
The Warriors used a 7-0 spurt later in the third to build a 79-67 lead.Game Notes
