Houston, TX ( - Houston Texans coach Gary Kubiak was back at practice Wednesday and could return to the sideline for Sunday's game against Oakland after a one-week absence to recover from a mini-stroke.

Kubiak collapsed while running off the field at halftime two Sundays ago against Indianapolis and was hospitalized after suffering a transient ischemic attack. He missed last week's game against Arizona and returned to the team's facility on a limited basis earlier this week.

"It's great to be back on the field and getting back to work," said Kubiak at his usual Wednesday news conference. "I feel great today. I don't foresee any reason why I won't be (coaching Sunday)."

Wade Phillips was the interim coach in Kubiak's absence. The Texans dropped a 27-24 decision to Indianapolis, blowing a 21-3 halftime lead after Kubiak departed, and also suffered a 27-24 loss to the Cardinals last week.

Houston is mired in a seven-game losing streak after opening the season with a pair of wins.
