Alameda, CA (Sports Network) - Oakland Raiders offensive tackle Jared Veldheer was activated from injured reserve-designated to return Wednesday, with the fourth-year pro expected to make his season debut in the team's Thanksgiving Day matchup at Dallas.
Veldheer has missed Oakland's first 11 games due to a torn left triceps he sustained in mid-August, but has been practicing since Nov. 13.
A third-round pick of the Raiders in the 2010 draft, Veldheer had started all but five of Oakland's games on the offensive line over his first three NFL seasons.
To make room on the active roster, the Raiders waived rookie quarterback Tyler Wilson.
Wilson, a fourth-round selection of Oakland this past April, had spent the majority of the season on the team's practice squad.
