Seahawks' Okung placed on IR, Browner probable

Renton, WA (Sports Network) - Seattle Seahawks offensive tackle Russell Okung will miss at least eight weeks after tearing a ligament in the big toe on his left foot.

The team placed him on injured reserve-designated to return in hopes that he can return this season.

Okung exited last Sunday's 29-3 victory over division-rival San Francisco in the first quarter. The sixth overall pick of the 2010 draft, Okung has missed at least one game in each of his first three pro seasons due to various injuries.

Paul McQuistan will start at left tackle for the foreseeable future, while James Carpenter will replace McQuistan at left guard.

After missing the first two games due to a hamstring injury, cornerback Brandon Browner practiced fully on Thursday and Friday as is probable for Sunday's tilt against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Defensive end Chris Clemons (knee) practiced all week and is also listed as probable.
