(SportsNetwork.com) - The floundering Jacksonville Jaguars began what could be an in-season fire sale on Tuesday, with multiple reports indicating the team has agreed to trade offensive tackle Eugene Monroe to the Baltimore Ravens in exchange for multiple undisclosed draft picks.

ESPN first reported the deal Tuesday night, with the Baltimore Sun later stating that Monroe is scheduled to travel to Baltimore Wednesday morning to take a physical that will make the trade official.

Taken by the Jaguars with the eighth overall pick of the 2009 draft, Monroe has been one of Jacksonville's steadiest players and has started 62 of the club's 68 games at left tackle since entering the NFL. The 26-year-old is in the final year of his rookie contract, however, and the Jaguars landed a potential replacement with last April's selection of rookie Luke Joeckel with the No. 2 overall choice.

Joeckel had been playing on the right side for Jacksonville, which has lost its first four games by a combined 129-31 margin.

In Baltimore, Monroe will likely supplant veteran Bryant McKinnie, who has been plagued by weight and consistency issues during his three-year tenure with the Ravens, at left tackle.

The defending Super Bowl champion Ravens have allowed 12 sacks of quarterback Joe Flacco while splitting their first four games of the season.
