Houston, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Houston Texans starting strong safety Danieal Manning and backup cornerback A.J. Bouye were placed on injured reserve Wednesday.
Both players suffered their injuries in the Texans' Week 6 loss to the Rams this past Sunday. Manning suffered a hairline fracture to his right fibula, while Bouye hurt his right hamstring.
Manning, an eight-year veteran, has 24 tackles with one sack on the year. Bouye, a Central Florida product who signed with the Texans as an undrafted rookie free agent back in May, had recorded two tackles.
The Texans have signed cornerback Elbert Mack and inside linebacker Mike Mohamed to their active roster.
Mack rejoins the Texans after being cut by the team this past August. In his six seasons in the NFL, the 27-year-old has played for Tampa Bay, New Orleans, and Houston and recorded 103 tackles and six interceptions.
Mohamed, a 2011 sixth-round draft pick of the Denver Broncos, has only played in three career games.
The Texans also signed cornerback Josh Victorian to their practice squad.
