Columbus, OH (Sports Network) - The Columbus Blue Jackets re-signed left wing Blake Comeau to a one-year deal Tuesday.
The 27-year-old Comeau registered two goals and three assists in nine games after the Columbus acquired him from the Calgary Flames for a fifth-round pick before the April 3 trade deadline.
Comeau had six goals and 12 points in 42 games between the Blue Jackets and Flames last season.
"Blake is a dependable two-way forward who combines physical play with ability in the offensive zone," said Columbus general manager Jarmo Kekalainen. "We liked what we saw from him at the end of last season as he fit in very well with our team and we're pleased to have signed him to this extension."
Comeau, the New York Islanders' second-round pick in 2004, has 67 goals and 81 assists in 361 games in his seven-year career with the Islanders, Flames, and Blue Jackets.
