Montreal, QC (Sports Network) - Montreal Canadiens forward Max Pacioretty returned to the ice for Sunday's game against Ottawa just eight days after undergoing an emergency appendectomy.

Pacioretty was originally tabbed to miss the next 3-to-4 weeks after undergoing the procedure last Saturday, but he rejoined the team on Thursday and skated in Friday's practice.

In three games prior to the surgery, he posted four assists
