The trio finished 72 holes at 14-under 274.

Tiger Woods has decided to bypass this tournament, but a bigger story lingers as the event approaches.

Last week, the greens on Nos. 8 and 10 at Quail Hollow underwent emergency maintenance and were completely re-sodded. Despite the unusual measure, officials insist the greens will be in acceptable condition when the tournament commences.

Golf Channel has coverage the first two days and early on the weekend before handing off to CBS for Saturday's and Sunday's afternoon coverage.

The PGA Tour hits TPC Sawgrass next week for the The Players Championship, where Matt Kuchar fought off several competitors last year to secure the win.

EUROPEAN TOUR

VOLVO CHINA OPEN, Binhai Lake Golf Club, Tianjin, China - The European Tour heads to China this week for the 19th Volvo China Open.

Last year, Branden Grace closed with a 3-under 69 on the final day to cruise to a 3-stroke win. It was the third victory of the season on the European Tour for Grace, who got his card via Q School and later went on to secure a fourth victory at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.

Grace finished at 21-under 267, while 2011 champion Nicolas Colsaerts also shot 69 in the final round to end alone in second place at minus-18 at the Binhai Lake Golf Club.

Grace, 13-time winner European Tour Thomas Bjorn and China's rising stars Andy Zhang and Jim Liu are expected to highlight this week's field.

Golf Channel will have coverage of all four rounds.

Next week the European Tour heads to Portugal for the Madeira Islands Open, which countryman Ricardo Santos won last year with a tournament-record 22- under par 266.

LPGA TOUR

KINGSMILL CHAMPIONSHIP, Kingsmill Resort (River Course), Williamsburg, VA - The LPGA Tour heads to Virginia this week for the Kingsmill Championship.

Last year, Jiyai Shin 2-putted for par from 15 feet in a Monday finish to finally defeat Paula Creamer on the ninth playoff hole of the inaugural version of the event.

After the tournament couldn't be decided after eight tries at the 18th hole Sunday, Shin and Creamer came back to Kingsmill Resort Monday morning and decided the outcome.

The duo finished at 16-under-par 268.

Golf Channel will have coverage of all four rounds.

After a week off, the LPGA Tour heads to Alabama on May 16, for the Mobile Bay Classic, won by Stacy Lewis in 2012.

CHAMPIONS TOUR

INSPERITY CHAMPIONSHIP, The Woodlands Country Club, The Woodlands, TX - The Champions Tour moves to Texas and returns to stroke-play format this week for the Insperity Championship.

Brad Faxon and Jeff Sluman won by a single shot last week at the Liberty Mutual Insurance Legends of Golf, a two-man, better ball tournament.

Last year, Fred Funk birdied four of the last five holes, including the 18th, at the Insperity Championship to beat Tom Lehman by one shot and end a two- year victory drought.

Golf Channel will have coverage of all four rounds.

After a two-week hiatus, the Champions Tour heads to Bellerive Country Club in Missouri on May 23, for the tour's first major of the season, the Senior PGA Championship, which Roger Chapman won last year by two strokes.

WEB.COM TOUR

STADION CLASSIC AT UGA, University of Georgia Golf Club, Athens, GA - The Web.com Tour remains in Georgia this week for the Stadion Classic at UGA.

Last year, Georgia graduate Hudson Swafford carded a final-round 62 to come from behind and secure his first and only Web.com Tour win.

Swafford finished at 17-under-par 267, which tied the tournament record, but he only secured the win when Luke List bogeyed his final hole.

After a week off, the Web.com Tour returns for the BMW Charity Pro-Am in South Carolina on May 16, won by Nick Flanagan in a playoff last year.
