Tijuana, Mexico ( - The Los Angeles Galaxy bowed out of the CONCACAF Champions League in the quarterfinal round at the hands of Tijuana after losing the second leg in Mexico, 4-2, behind two goals from Jaime Ayovi.

The Galaxy brought a 1-0 advantage into the second leg thanks to a goal from Samuel, but immediately found themselves down a goal in the opening minute when Ayovi pounced on a loose ball to score.

Ayovi was at it again in the ninth minute when he latched on to a ball played over the top by Javier Guemez and beat Galaxy goalkeeper Jaime Penedo.

Dario Benedetto handed Tijuana a commanding lead in the 26th minute with a goal of his own, while Robbie Keane pulled one back for Los Angeles early in the second half.

Another goal would have been enough to put the Galaxy through to the next round on away goals, but Benedetto set up a tally for Richard Ruiz in the 82nd to give the Mexican side a cushion, while Keane netted a consolation goal five minutes from time.
