Columbia, SC (SportsNetwork.com) - Three of Jadeveon Clowney's South Carolina teammates have joined the star defensive end in declaring for the NFL Draft.
Defensive tackle Kelcy Quarles, cornerback Victor Hampton and wide receiver Bruce Ellington will forego their final year of eligibility and enter the draft, the school announced Friday.
The school said Ellington will not finish his fourth season on the men's basketball team as he prepares for the draft.
Clowney, a projected top-five pick, announced he would enter the draft -- as expected -- during an on-field interview after the Gamecocks beat Wisconsin in the Capital One Bowl on New Year's Day.
Quarles made several All-American teams and was a unanimous first-team All-SEC selection after leading the team with 9 1/2 sacks and 13 1/2 tackles for a loss.
Hampton had 51 tackles and three interceptions and Ellington, at 5-foot-9, led the Gamecocks in receptions (49) and yards receiving (775). Ellington averaged 11.3 points in 80 games as a guard on the basketball team.
