Englewood, CO (SportsNetwork.com) - Denver Broncos head coach John Fox confirmed Monday that wide receiver Wes Welker has been cleared to play after missing the team's final three regular-season games due to a concussion.

Welker sustained the injury during a Dec. 8 triumph over the Tennessee Titans. It was the 32-year-old wideout's second concussion this season.

Denver, which locked up the AFC's top spot and a first-round bye Sunday, starts postseason play on Jan. 12, giving Welker extra time to fully recover from the head injury.

Welker, in his first season with the Broncos, racked up 73 catches for 778 yards and a career-high 10 touchdowns over 13 games.
