St. Paul, MN (SportsNetwork.com) - Minnesota Wild forward Justin Fontaine has signed a two-year contract.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Fontaine notched 13 goals and eight assists in 66 games during his rookie season with the Wild in 2013-14. He added a goal and an assist in nine playoff games last spring.

The 26-year-old Alberta native also posted a plus-6 rating, the second-best by a rookie in club history. He also became the first Wild rookie with a hat trick when he collected three goals in a Jan. 9 game against the Coyotes.
