Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - Rory McIlroy won his second straight start, and first World Golf Championship title on Sunday, and that helped him move back atop the world golf rankings.

McIlroy beat Sergio Garcia by two strokes at the Open Championship and again in Akron.

Adam Scott dipped to No. 2, while Garcia improved two places to No. 3. His move bumped Henrik Stenson and Justin Rose down to fourth and fifth, respectively.

Matt Kuchar held steady in sixth place, and he was again followed by Bubba Watson, Jim Furyk, Jason Day, Tiger Woods, Jordan Spieth, Martin Kaymer, Phil Mickelson and Zach Johnson.

Graeme McDowell improved two places to 15th, while Hideki Matsuyama and Dustin Johnson both slipped one spot. Rickie Fowler held steady in 18th, Charl Schwartzel was up three to No. 19 and Jimmy Walker dipped one to 20th.

Last week's No. 20 Steve Stricker was down three to 23rd.
