(SportsNetwork.com) - Ohio State senior quarterback Braxton Miller will reportedly miss the season with a right shoulder injury, according to ESPN.

Miller, a Heisman Trophy contender, was hurt during Monday's practice. ESPN reported Miller had an MRI on his throwing shoulder Tuesday morning, revealing the severity of the injury.

The two-time Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year passed for 2,094 yards, 24 touchdowns and seven interceptions and added 1,068 yards rushing with 12 more scores.

Miller, who had offseason surgery on the same shoulder, suffered the injury while throwing a routine pass.

Ohio State is ranked No. 5 in the preseason Associated Press Poll.
