Find out why sheep were so important in Columbia County (in some towns, there were once more sheep than people!), and how they helped keep residents warm through the winter.  Learn about processing wool by trying your hand using a drop spindle, and experience wool fibers while creating a felt bead necklace.

November 7th, 10am to 12pm.  $5 per child, $10 per family, members free, reservations encouraged.

This program is designed for children ages 6-10 and their families.

This History Saturday will be held at
the Vanderpoel House, 16 Broad St., Kinderhook, NY 12106

For more information or to reserve a spot, please call the Columbia County Historical Society at 518-758-9265 or visit www.cchsny.org
